Notes
A complex and intriguing nose: sitting round a campfire on the rocky, salty West Coast of Scotland sucking penny toffees and lemon sherbets. The palate brings more toffee sweetness, but balanced by beautiful savoury notes of wet stone, brine, woody herbs and black pepper. Campfire smoke endures, and is joined by bittersweet chocolate and raspberry jam on the finish.

Green apple, kippers, lemon bonbons, charred porridge oats and sweet hay. On the palate there is sweet, light fruit, joined quickly by gentle woodsmoke. The finish brings a refreshing hit of lemon oil. I rather like it!

Lemon and orange barley sweets on the nose, which opens up to give cereal notes with the addition of water. Lemon barley again, on the palate, with pleasant honeysuckle and sweetness in the finish.

The first thing that strikes you about this whisky is its colour: it is so light, a first clue at the delicate nature of the dram. Sweet vanilla up front, with light, fresh apple and runny honey. The palate is elegant, too, even though the peatsmoke begins to intensify. More vanilla throughout is balanced by … Continued
