Notes
More of a sea creature than a monster, actually! Not the big, peaty Goliath that the name suggests, but rather delicate and refined. Briney, seabreeze, with notes of lemon oil on the nose. The palate is pleasantly sweet up front, followed by gentle peatsmoke and hints of tropical fruit, and then drying woody spice on the finish.

Salty smoked kippers on buttery brown toast with freshly cracked black pepper and freshly squeezed orange juice with ground black coffee. Breakfast of champions! Notes of pine and soap. A hint of sweetness balances the smoke on the palate, and there’s plenty of pepper spice on the finish!

Salted milk chocolate, pecans drizzled in honey, baked apples with a dusting of icing sugar. A very engaging palate, it asks to be sipped again; light and sweet at first, with malty characters of butter pastry and enduring mouthfeel.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
