Notes
Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.

Dark chocolate and coffee mingle with oily smoked fish, cracked black pepper and lemon balm. On the palate more dark chocolate, smoky bacon, cloves, burnt toffee, an oily, briny texture and a tarry finish. Beach, bonfire, friends.

Exclusive release for 2013 Ardbeg Day.. Ardbeg’s smoky sweetness has been intriguingly interwoven with salty, savoury whiskies which have slumbered undisturbed in rare ex-Manzanilla sherry casks, all for at least ten long years.
