Tar, lovley ash and a very pleasing medicinal note, with seaweed throughout. Rain-wet slate on the palate, with more tar and, of course, peatsmoke. The finish is a pleasant tingling of black pepper and spice.
Sweet toffee, faint spice, delicate phenols and fruit. New-mown hay and peat at the finish. Peat smoke on the palate, with smooth floral scents, oaky nutiness and lasting sweetness. Long with a luxurious, oily smoothness.
Kippers and brown butter followed by freshly toasted hot cross bun. A breakfast for a cold Scottish morning! The palate is sweet, followed by spicy heat before falling away to peatsmoke and an aniseed, cola finish.
