An initial hit of salty sweetness gives quickly on to fruit – sour feijoa, green apple. More orchard fruits on the palate, with a light burned caramel finish.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.View ProductArdbeg Uigeadail70cl / 54.20% ABV£60.99
