This edition of the Local Barley series has been made exclusively from barley grown locally at Glencraigs Farm, Campbeltown. Barley variety: Belgravia.
Distillery Notes:
Nose: Characteristically fruity from the outset, there are notes of papaya, mango and lemon on the nose along with a subtle floral note.
Palate: The citrus element continues on the palate, combined with notes of Manuka honey and pear drops. A salty, mineral note develops.
Finish: Soft peat smoke comes through on the finish to round off this dram.

Salty smoked kippers on buttery brown toast with freshly cracked black pepper and freshly squeezed orange juice with ground black coffee. Breakfast of champions! Notes of pine and soap. A hint of sweetness balances the smoke on the palate, and there’s plenty of pepper spice on the finish!

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
