Notes
Super sweet and smooth without a single rough edge – think apricot pastries, peaches preserved in syrup, white chocolate truffles, but with just enough gingery heat at the finish to stop it short of sickly.

A ten year old heavily peated Speyside malt whisky. An explosion of aromatic peat reek, with fragrant hints of honey, fruit and mellow oak on the nose. The palate is an avalanche of peat, followed by an extravagant and complex mix of fruit, heather, nuts, oak wood and spices.

Salted milk chocolate, pecans drizzled in honey, baked apples with a dusting of icing sugar. A very engaging palate, it asks to be sipped again; light and sweet at first, with malty characters of butter pastry and enduring mouthfeel.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
