Distillery Note:
Complex and charismatic, the second release of Vintage 2000 epitomises Balblair’s signature elegant style.
The aroma is led by honey sweetness and a rich, fruity heart of raisins and baked caramel apples. Dark chocolate and crème brulee follow with just a touch of elusive winter spices underneath. Sweet and full-bodied on the palate, the taste evokes seasoned fruit cake and sticky toffee, balanced by brighter notes of fresh vanilla and a subtle thread of lime honey. A warm, lingering finish delivers the final spicy flourish to this finessed Single Malt.

The nose kicks off like a walk through a summer garden, finished off with round of buttered granary toast with honey. The palate is big, the floral notes giving way to pears in syrup, some lightly charred oak and a touch of salt.

Blackened bananas, stewed greengage, cracked black pepper. An intriguing nose! Fresh citrus on the palate, with honey and delicate peat smoke, rolling around to more citrus and a touch of mint on the finish.
