Balblair’s decision in 2019 to move away from vintages and towards age statements has met with mixed feelings. This 12 Year Old, aged in ex-bourbon and charred American oak casks, is still unmistakably Balblair, with its beautiful texture and mouthful of tropical fruit!
Lemon drizzle cake and gentle, warming spices on the nose. The palate is full of juicy apple, pineapple, pawpaw and acacia honey. The finish is creamy, like dunking ginger-spiced biscuits in warm milk.
