Notes
Orange sponge cake, light marmalade, a hint of marzipan and chrystalised pineapple. Blossom honey on the palate and warm ginger in the finish. A caressing dram.

A ten year old heavily peated Speyside malt whisky. An explosion of aromatic peat reek, with fragrant hints of honey, fruit and mellow oak on the nose. The palate is an avalanche of peat, followed by an extravagant and complex mix of fruit, heather, nuts, oak wood and spices.

Infusion of ripe citrus and green tea, the warmth of toasted almonds and the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
