Notes
Sweet menthol rises in a peat-smoky top note, backed by hints of creamy toffee and cereal. Below this, fresh maritime notes of sandy beaches and sea salt on an oaky base. The palate is silky and surprisingly sweet. Gentle peat smoke; then lightly salty with a cranberry tartness, a vanilla-sweet warmth around chewy cereals and a sprinkling of ground hazelnut. Later, burnt pastry, before late peat smoke.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
