Notes
Hints of baked apple, stewed raisin and cinnamon enhance rich sherry influences. Sweet liquorice aromas enhanced by light floral nuances and a polished oak edge. Sweet and spicy on the palate: date, prune and raisin complement warming pepper, cinnamon and clove. Tangy blackcurrant mix with sweet cherry jam and candied citrus fruit.

The nose kicks off like a walk through a summer garden, finished off with round of buttered granary toast with honey. The palate is big, the floral notes giving way to pears in syrup, some lightly charred oak and a touch of salt.

Noses a wee bit younger than you’ld expect from a 10 year, but the bright, complex spirit is full of baked pears, sherry richness, touches of ginger and white pepper and a pleasingly drying puff of smoke at the close.
