Notes
Pear Drops and tinned pineapple at first pour, but this mellows to barley water, light fruit and hints of iodine. Smoked almonds. On the palate nutty flavours and oily mouthfeel, balanced by light herbacious notes and sappy oak spice. The warmth of embers in a lengthy finish.

Noses a wee bit younger than you’ld expect from a 10 year, but the bright, complex spirit is full of baked pears, sherry richness, touches of ginger and white pepper and a pleasingly drying puff of smoke at the close.

The nose kicks off like a walk through a summer garden, finished off with round of buttered granary toast with honey. The palate is big, the floral notes giving way to pears in syrup, some lightly charred oak and a touch of salt.

Coconut, buttered toast, resinous wood, dried apricot, sweet hay. Then more dried fruit, orange zest, honey, vanilla and a sappy green note to the finish.
