Distillery Note:
Nose: Bursting with mocha, nutmeg and walnut oil, with notes of hether honey, sweet raisins and dried red berries.
Taste: Lashings of cinnamon spice, molasses and honeycomb, followed by ginger, espresso and dark chocolate, with hints of nutmeg and fennel on the finish.
Bottled at 57.2%, The GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 8 is a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons as well as a small quantity of Virgin Oak and ex-Rioja casks.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
