Notes
First distilled on the 29th of November 1991 into freshly emptied Bourbon Barrels before this noble sprit was transferred into Port pipes which previously held rare Graham’s 1982 Single Harvest Port where it remained for two years before being bottled in 2022. Only 1,296 bottles produced.
Colour; Warm rich and dazzling with cooper gold crimson highlights
Nose; Sleek, poised and confidently constructed as enticing succulent aromas of juicy Victorian plums, sticky toffee apple, moist ginger bread and freshly baked brioche smothered with heather honey arouse your senses. Immediately another level of luxury follows on with scents of pecan pie laced with Kirsch, black morello cherries, Old English marmalade and frangipane. The texture is pure and delightfully expressive, softly brushed with velvet.
Taste; This aged icon ripples with elegance and sophistication having being matured for many long years in the finest casks in particular in the Grahams Vintage Port 1982 – this rare edition of The Dalmore exudes outstanding flavours of Christollen cake, Maraschino cherries, Black Forest fruits and Ogen melon laced with Port wine. Just when you thought this taste sensation was complete another fusion comes into play with taste sensations of freshly brewed Colombian coffee, soft chewy liquorice, ginger spice and aged balsamic. There is a gentle featherlight touch of Sanguinello blood oranges and dark chocolate drifting away in the background.
