Notes
Takes me back to school dinners on the good days you looked forward to – sticky toffee pudding and custard, eating all the mandarin segements out of the fruit salad and nabbing a chocolate bar for the walk home.

Blackened bananas, stewed greengage, cracked black pepper. An intriguing nose! Fresh citrus on the palate, with honey and delicate peat smoke, rolling around to more citrus and a touch of mint on the finish.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.

Dark chocolate and coffee mingle with oily smoked fish, cracked black pepper and lemon balm. On the palate more dark chocolate, smoky bacon, cloves, burnt toffee, an oily, briny texture and a tarry finish. Beach, bonfire, friends.
