Notes
Banana malt loaf, vanilla custard and a dollop of fruit compote on the nose, with just a hint of smoke and the slightest suggestion of black pepper. A sip is a wee journey: sweet stewed fruits and rich caramel at first, then black pepper spice, eventually giving way to deep smoke before milk chocolate, and then the spice rolling back on the finish

Lemon and orange barley sweets on the nose, which opens up to give cereal notes with the addition of water. Lemon barley again, on the palate, with pleasant honeysuckle and sweetness in the finish.

Plenty of ripe pears, nectarines and peaches alongside a fair whack of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is all crystalised fruits – ginger, orange peel and cherry, with the odd one perhaps dipped in chocolate.

Dark chocolate and coffee mingle with oily smoked fish, cracked black pepper and lemon balm. On the palate more dark chocolate, smoky bacon, cloves, burnt toffee, an oily, briny texture and a tarry finish. Beach, bonfire, friends.
