This Highland single malt from Ardnamurhcan was bottled from a refill Oloroso Sherry puncheon.

On the nose it has notes toasted malty cereal, burnt lemon and hints of cocoa and peat smoke. Delve deeper and there is also some dried fruit influence from the sherry cask.

On the palate its like eating a freshly peeled orange next to a gently smoking bonfire. Some barley, fresh ginger and a hint of toffee, all underpinned by the peat. Very nice texture, oily and then creamy as it develops.
