Adelphi's Blended Whisky is a bit different from most! A blend of malt and grain kept in a solara system, and the distilleries involved are top secret! The nose is exciting, lots of sea-air and orchard fruits. More of the coastal notes on the palate, with lovely cigar box and biscuity qualities along with apples and pears. The finish is long; reminiscent of a quality calvados enjoyed beside the warm embers of a hearth fire!

Green apple and honey on the nose. Plenty of vanilla on the palate, with intense heather honey on the finish and a little gentle spice.

The famed 'Maritime Malt' perhaps isn't quite as salty as it was back in the day, but you still get a lovely touch of it alongside the juicy citrus and caramelised banana sweetness.

Penny toffees, some salinity, gentle smoke and a floral note. Chimney smoke at once on the palate, followed by bitter marmalade, manuka honey, milk chocolate and pepper.

Smoked ham, preserved lemons, lapsang souchong and salted caramel tones. The palate starts of with a hit of smoke, before dipping into sweet fruit, a rubbery note and then back to smoke with a cooling, Fox's Glacier Mint finish.

Lemon and orange barley sweets on the nose, which opens up to give cereal notes with the addition of water. Lemon barley again, on the palate, with pleasant honeysuckle and sweetness in the finish.

Sweet notes of apple, warmed pastry and cinnamon. Baked apple, brown sugar, vanilla with spices of cinnamon and ginger. Drying finish but still has a note of vanilla sweetness throughout.

Creamy fudge, green apples, oak, slightly salty on the nose. The palate brings vanilla and warm spicy tones. A lovely oily character and hints of nuts and dried fruit.

Digestive biscuits covered in slices of banana, chocolate chips and a drizzle of honey. On the palate it shows from soft, sweet spice and a golden syrup finish.

Matured in PX, charred virgin oak and ex-bourbon. Sweet crème brulee and Hobnobs on the nose, balanced by herbaceous flavours of wild mint and delicate aniseed. Warm orange peel and light lemon sweets. On the palate this is still undoubtedly Ardbeg, although in a lighter guise. Tobacco leaf and sweet hay mix with honeyed notes and brightened by that hint of citrus, again. The finish is sweet, nutty and smoky.

Vanilla millefeuille, light pear, tinned peaches and delicate banana on the nose, with a delighful lift of sweet green herbal notes. On the palate there is more fruit and pastry, joined by a hint of chocolate and an element of ginger spice to the finish. A delicate dram that begs for another sip.

Distillery Notes Nose : Summer berry pie with bruised apples, lemon meringue and salted caramel. Palate: Pecan and vanilla ice cream, salt water taffy and beach bonfire smoke.   35% Sherry cask; 65% Ex Bourbon cask 50/50 Split Peated & Unpeated

Smoky bacon, grandfather's old pipe tobacco, rain-wet concrete, soapy lemon. A lovely rounded mouthfeel and silky balance, peat as only Ardbeg can do peat!

Cherry stones, fresh fennel and gentle smoke with a squeeze of lemon. Hints of vanilla on the palate with a rounded, woody finish.

Kippers and brown butter followed by freshly toasted hot cross bun. A breakfast for a cold Scottish morning! The palate is sweet, followed by spicy heat before falling away to peatsmoke and an aniseed, cola finish.

Fruity on the nose with candied peel and apple mingling with sweet honey. Rhubarb and toffee on the palate balanced by malty, nutty and oaky notes.

Green grape, fresh citrus, salty seaweed and chimney smoke, with sweet, biscuity tones of Custard Creams! Vanilla and oak join the salty smoke on the palate, with a bit of heat in the finish, which dries out like a Jacob's cracker!
