Notes
There is flavour, here, in spades, but the real story is the seductive texture: creamy malt and rich oily wood.
Herbal tones of grass, mellows into sweet barley and a hint of grapefruit citrus. Well integrated oak and, of course, soft peat smoke throughout.

A warming dram with initial sweetness that gives way to a suprisingly dry finish. Vanilla, toffee and soft brown sugar on the nose. Toffee apple and icing sugar on the palate, with vanilla throughout.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
