Since it was founded over twenty seven years ago, Luvians has been dedicated to providing the best of everything. As a specialist, independent drinks retailer, our philosophy is to be different from the crowd. We quickly realised that there was no point in being ordinary because there were others out there who were a lot better than us at it, so we had to be out-of-the-ordinary.
Our range of wines and spirits is unparalleled and is constantly changing, offering a selection of the very finest wines from the Old and the New World.
We also stock over 800 single malt whiskies including some of the very rarest, such as two bottles of the World’s oldest Single Malt Whisky – Mortlach 70 year old!
Luvians Bottle Shop and Ice Cream Parlour | Cupar
The Bottle Shop in Cupar opened on Christmas Eve 1983 with only 2 – yes two! – kinds of Single Malt Whisky, Glenfiddich 8 year old and Glenmorangie 10 year old.
We have come a long way since then: now over 800 different malts from some of the very, very rarest – Glenlivet 1943, a snip at £2,500 per bottle and now, just as, if not more rare, a 70 year old Mortlach, one of only 54 70cl mouth-blown and hand-crafted tear-drop decanters, and a matching 20cl decanter, one of only 162, bottled at natural cask strength. Price? £10,000 for the 70cl and £2,500 for the 20cl.
Of course we have many other Single Malts that cost somewhat less than this, for example one of several favourites, Glenrothes Select Reserve at only £27.99 a bottle. We are extremely proud of “The Great Wall of Luvians” which holds many of our Malt Whiskies, and further along, some rare Champagnes too!

Opened 14 years ago, our St Andrews Bottleshop has established itself as the town’s leading purveyor of wine and whisky.
Our well trained staff can answer any question that might arise. We are also pleased to recommend our fine wine room which showcases some of our rarest wines, champagnes and spirits.
Luvians Ice Cream Parlour | St Andrews
Our Coffee Shop and Ice Cream Parlour is a great place to go for a bit of refreshment while in St Andrews.
There are over 30 flavours of award winning ice cream to choose from containing only the finest and most natural ingredients.
Apart from the coffee and ice cream, it is also home to a comprehensive selection of Havana Cigars.
