The nose of this 2008 Daftmill is initially quite floral and slightly spiced, somewhat drier than the 2006 Daftmills released in 2018. With a little time in the glass the aromas develop into stewed apple and cinnamon with some buttery shortbread notes building. The palate offers more spiced apple, but with a pleasant herbal note on the mid palate. A touch of water brings out some fresh baked sponge cake, a slight grassiness and notes of tinned peach. A long finish balances waves of spice with vanilla and fresh fruit. A very exciting first glimpse of the 2008 vintage from Daftmill

Delicate honey with dried flowers on the nose, all tied up with a very pleasant, nostalic wave of malt extract. A sip takes you on a wee journey past honey, through little peaks of citrus, into a calm valley of malt. Citrus returns at the end to ask about your trip…

A ten year old heavily peated Speyside malt whisky. An explosion of aromatic peat reek, with fragrant hints of honey, fruit and mellow oak on the nose. The palate is an avalanche of peat, followed by an extravagant and complex mix of fruit, heather, nuts, oak wood and spices.
