Notes
Personal note of Andrew W Syminton, as per the signed certificate included with the bottle:
This Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, on Islay, on 8th April 1971. It was filled into a first use ex Bourbon hogshead, cask number 2226, for the account of J. G. Turney & Co. Ltd. For us, as current owners of Edradour distillery, this is a special cask, as at the time of filling, J. G. Turney were the owners of Edradour. The whisky was fully matured in this single cask until bottling, but yielded only 95 bottles.
Deep gold in colour, the whisky is an explosion of tropical fruits, with pineapple, mango and melon very evident. Wonderful mouthfeel, with the fruits morphing into a slightly oily, waxy finish with just a hint of smoke.
The whisky was disgorged and bottled under my supervision in the Town of Pitlochry on 24th July 2017.
