A very elegant nose - lots going on but beautifully balanced. Baked apple, honey, lemon zest alongside slightly more poised notes of malt, almonds and cedar wood. The first thought upon sipping is the sumptuous mouthfeel - it coats the mouth with a lovely, silky texture and brings a graceful symphony of orange fruit, sweetness and spice, with a lasting finish.

Warm orange oil, chocolate raisins, liqueur soaked sponge. More citrus fruit on the palate, then hints of charred wood and vanilla, salty honey and the gentle heat of black pepper.

Vanilla millefeuille, light pear, tinned peaches and delicate banana on the nose, with a delighful lift of sweet green herbal notes. On the palate there is more fruit and pastry, joined by a hint of chocolate and an element of ginger spice to the finish. A delicate dram that begs for another sip.
