Literally translated as “tears of Christ”, local legend claims the vines grew on the slopes of Vesuvius where Jesus’ tears fell as he ascended to heaven. This red is one of Campania’s most traditional wines, made using Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes grown in the local volcanic soils.

Light yellow-gold in colour, this Pecorino has a lightly spiced nose from the partial oak ageing which gives way to a fine, floral and ripe citrus fruit character on the palate. On the palate, the wine has a good length with ripe pear characters continuing through to the finish.
