Crystallised orange melds with dark fruitcake, hazelnut and raisin, topped with marzipan and ginger, on the nose. The nose is of fruitcake filled with toasted raisin, orange peel and almond, which develops into lingering gingerbread and ground nutmeg.

Salty smoked kippers on buttery brown toast with freshly cracked black pepper and freshly squeezed orange juice with ground black coffee. Breakfast of champions! Notes of pine and soap. A hint of sweetness balances the smoke on the palate, and there’s plenty of pepper spice on the finish!

Plenty of ripe pears, nectarines and peaches alongside a fair whack of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is all crystalised fruits – ginger, orange peel and cherry, with the odd one perhaps dipped in chocolate.
