Notes
The nose is spicy-sweet and fruity, spiky green leaves and dog roses with autumnal forests, toffee and rich vanilla sauce. Candied fruit, herbal notes with a minty toffee and hints of pastry. On the palate nuts and spice lead, with hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts and hot cinnamon joined by barly sugar and sharp candied lemons. Toffee, fudge and fruity dark chocolate.

Lemon and orange barley sweets on the nose, which opens up to give cereal notes with the addition of water. Lemon barley again, on the palate, with pleasant honeysuckle and sweetness in the finish.

Noses a wee bit younger than you’ld expect from a 10 year, but the bright, complex spirit is full of baked pears, sherry richness, touches of ginger and white pepper and a pleasingly drying puff of smoke at the close.
