TASTED, LOVED, CHOSEN BY LUVIANS
What an absolute belter! It must be said, James Eadie sure do know how to choose a cask! And, humbly, we at Luvians rather think we choose the very best of those to put our name to! This 27 year old single cask of Cameronbridge is no exception…
Nose: To really appreciate the complexity of this whisky, we recommend leaving it in the glass and nosing it over a good ten minutes. At first, you’ll find rich maple syrup, pecan plait, rum-soaked flambéed banana and vanilla fudge. With a bit of time (if you can resist for that long!) you will be rewarded with a whole new experience! Milky coffee, white chocolate and malty deliciousness abound.
Palate: A lovely mouthfeel right away, with silky golden syrup, pecans and a luxurious but still elegant sweetness. There is a note of nutmeg in there but there is no heat, despite the cask strength ABV of 58.6%. Great length in the finish, it really lingers on the tongue and makes you ache for another sip.
This is James Eadie Ltd’s second ever Single Grain Madeira Cask Finish, selected and bottled for Luvians, the family-run whisky specialists in the Kingdom of Fife, home of Cameronbridge Distillery.
This whisky is bottled at cask strength, natural colour and without chill-filtration. Limited bottling of just 268 bottles.

Sweet, floral notes of dried flowers and oil, in a dusty oak drawer. Like a bowl of extremely ripe fruit left in the sunshine; plum, peach and red apple. A beautifully balanced single grain whisky from a now-silent Glasgow distillery, closed in 2010. Werther’s Originals, sweet red fruit and vanilla, hints of wood polish – almost rum-like. With a sip, more vanilla and banana and a delightful tingle of spice that fills the mouth. Great mouthfeel with a long, creamy butterscotch finish with dollops … Continued

Matured in PX, charred virgin oak and ex-bourbon. Sweet crème brulee and Hobnobs on the nose, balanced by herbaceous flavours of wild mint and delicate aniseed. Warm orange peel and light lemon sweets. On the palate this is still undoubtedly Ardbeg, although in a lighter guise. Tobacco leaf and sweet hay mix with honeyed notes … Continued
