Notes
Woody and medicinal on the nose, with whispers of smoke and lovely salinity. The palate brings a definite note of violet, along with more woodsmoke, cedar wood and heather honey. A dry finish.

On That Note
-
Vanilla sponge cake, light cinnamon spice and custard on the nose. Icing sugar on the palate, with continued gentle spice, and a growing woodiness, like fresh pencil shavings.

Infusion of ripe citrus and green tea, the warmth of toasted almonds and the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.
