Beeswax and juicy apples, malt loaf with thick butter. Dried fruits, maltiness, citrus peel and a hint of woodsmoke in the finish. Pleasing.

Bacon straight away, but that then fades and gives way to warm bonfire, sweet tobacco and just a note of rubber. With more time in the glass treacle, cereal and pleasant soapiness. The palate is lead by sweet fruit and honey, then peppery heat, and an oily, woodsmoke finish. A complex and evolving whisky.

Dark chocolate and coffee mingle with oily smoked fish, cracked black pepper and lemon balm. On the palate more dark chocolate, smoky bacon, cloves, burnt toffee, an oily, briny texture and a tarry finish. Beach, bonfire, friends.
