Notes
Matured in ex-Bourbon casks charred by the fiery exhale of Dunnage Warehouse 3’s – definitely real and not at all made up – FLAVOUR BREATHING DRAGON, Intense aromas of soot and smoke lie in wait, while grilled fare and black liquorice mingle with bold notes of antiseptic lozenge. This is truly a dram of fantastical proportions.
Tasting notes from the Distillery:
Aroma: Nutty, spicy, intense with hints of aniseed and patchouli. Smoky, herbal notes, and an impression of oily smoke. With a splash of water more of the classic Ardbeg ‘fennel/herbal/pine’ top notes.
Taste: Oily & spicy mouthfeel with a burst of antiseptic lozenges, tar, liquorice, clove & pepper. This is then followed by some sweet smoke like briar or sandalwood.
Finish: A long, but subtle, sooty, tarry aftertaste
