Coastal and medicinal tones on the nose, with cracked black pepper, herbacious elements of tobacco and black tea, with wafts of smoke throughout. The first thing to strike you on the palate is the sweet sherry, then tar, hints of chilli flakes and enduring chimney smoke.

Green grape, fresh citrus, salty seaweed and chimney smoke, with sweet, biscuity tones of Custard Creams! Vanilla and oak join the salty smoke on the palate, with a bit of heat in the finish, which dries out like a Jacob’s cracker!

Ash, dates, unripe wild strawberries and burnt brown sugar on the nose. Salty notes on the palate, with some red fruit character and ginger spice, with a waxy finish.

Toffee, kept fresh by delightful salty tones, with dried apricot, hints of flambeed banana and woody tones. A sip brings coastal notes with rich orange crashing through and then rolling back to toffee and the wood spice you might expect from the 60%abv.

Smoky bacon, grandfather’s old pipe tobacco, rain-wet concrete, soapy lemon. A lovely rounded mouthfeel and silky balance, peat as only Ardbeg can do peat!
