Pear, grape, light gingerbread, warm butterscotch. Delicious salty tones on the palate, overlaying orange fruit, vanilla notes, and charred marshmallows!

Sitting by the fire in a countryside tea room: lemon drizzle cake, sticky toffee pudding, apple tart and strong coffee, all by a smoldering fire. More of the same on the palate with lush orchard fruits joined by the more classic sherry notes of dried fruits, chocolate, spices and toffee, which endure into the finish.

Distillery Note:

Yamazaki is the first Japanese distillery established 1923. The distillery is situated in the vale of Yamazaki, an area of dense bamboo grooves at the foot of Mt. Tennozan outside Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capital and stronghold of traditional Japanese culture.

The spiced wood arrives first then dried cranberries with a lasting muddle of orange marmalade and honey sweetness.

Notes of warm lemon and clementine, and a hint of heather. Beautiful, satin mouthfeel, vibrant fruit and vanilla, with warm spices and a touch of drying wood in the finish. Like a big cuddle!

Limited edition. Strictly one per customer. Distillery Note: Winter is here…. Snowed in at home, our Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill, began dreaming of this whisky. His goal was to capture the snug and magical feeling of sitting in front of the fireplace as snow blankets the world outside. In pursuit of rich, radiant taste and wintery aroma, he finished the 13-year-old single malt in Marsala wine casks from Sicily. The experience begins with light flurries of fruit and honey, building to torrents of cocoa dust, flakes of red pepper and chunks of brazil nut toffee. It culminates in a feels-like-forever finish that swirls with cinnamon, ginger and clove. Like the cosy comfort of a colourful winter jumper, this whisky’s bursts of bright, vivid flavour will delight your senses.

Dark chocolate and coffee mingle with oily smoked fish, cracked black pepper and lemon balm. On the palate more dark chocolate, smoky bacon, cloves, burnt toffee, an oily, briny texture and a tarry finish. Beach, bonfire, friends.

Matured in the prestigious Quercus Alba from the Missouri Ozarks, this malt bursts with rich vanilla crème brulee, coconut and warming spices. Distillery Note: From the tall peaks of the Missouri Ozarks to the sweeping grandeur of the Highlands of Scotland, Glenmorangie Astar (Scots Gaelic for "journey") is the story of our quest to "design" the very best oak casks that will delivery perfection in the final whisky. First released in 2008, the single malts long-awaited return as a 2017 limited edition brings forth a newfound richness and complexity to its silken depths.

Distillery note: It has been proposed that there is: i) An unmistakable smoky Ardbeg intensity ii) A strong whiff of charcoal and creosote iii) Curious hints of something vegetal, like fennel and celery mixed with woodsmoke... DISCUSS! A rare Committee Release.

Banana malt loaf, vanilla custard and a dollop of fruit compote on the nose, with just a hint of smoke and the slightest suggestion of black pepper. A sip is a wee journey: sweet stewed fruits and rich caramel at first, then black pepper spice, eventually giving way to deep smoke before milk chocolate, and then the spice rolling back on the finish

Strictly one per household. Attempts at multiple purchases will be refunded. Distillery Note: The perfect partnership of Oloroso sherry seasoned American and European oak casks creates the distinctive, warm character of this harmonious single malt. The delicate and indulgent flavours of American oak including vanilla, orange and toffee support The Macallan's more traditional characteristics of rich fruits and wood spice which take centre stage.
