Mortlach 75 year old, Generations Series by Gordon and MacPhail

Laid down in 1939, this whisky has been left to its slumber for 75 years, before being carefully resurrected and bottled in the finest hand blown crystal decanter. Only 100 bottles have been released of this precious liquor, bottled at its natural cask strength of 44.4% ABV.

We are very proud to be able to offer this whisky to our customers, and can count ourselves among the elite few who are fortunate enough to have access to such a rare release. We have two bottles of this superlative release available for our customers, and welcome all inquiries regarding it.

Mortlach is a distillery close our hearts here at Luvians, a spirit whose natural affinity with sherry is a delight to behold. Opulent and rich, Mortlach never fails to express something essential about the traditional marrying of fiery new make spirit with the enfolding sweetness of ex-sherry casks. And with the passing of so much time, this can only be regarded as the most amazing opportunity to experience the culmination of this relationship between the art of the distiller and the magic of time.

Tasting notes: With notes of dried apricots and pomegranate, followed by hints of spice and creamy vanilla, the latest release to the luxury Generations range has a smooth and lingering smoky finish which remains long after the dram has been savoured.
